PE & School Sport Activator

£16,000-£18,000

Fleetwood Town Community Trust is an independent and registered charity working in partnership with Fleetwood Town Football Club. Our mission is to enrich the lives of children and young people through sport, physical activity, health and educational programmes. As the Trust continues to develop we are looking for someone to co-ordinate and deliver a number of School sports programmes in the Wyre Borough e.g. Curriculum PE, Extra-Curricular Activities and Sports, Community Sports, Holiday Sports Camps. Ensuring that participants are supervised and undertake an enjoyable activity in a safe environment.

As part of this role you will be expected to both lead and work alongside the Trust’s staff to ensure compliance with internal and external targets.

Experience of PE & Sport delivery in curriculum time; establishing, delivering and co-ordinating coaching programmes for young people along with a recognised Level 2 National Governing Body Sports Coaching qualification in one or more sports (or equivalent teacher status) is essential.

NCS Co-ordinator

£18,000 plus performance related pay

Fleetwood Town Community Trust is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, charismatic and dedicated National Citizen Service (NCS) Co-ordinator to organise and deliver our 2018/2019 NCS project for young people aged 16-17 across Wyre.

NCS is a voluntary programme for 16-17 year olds that will promote:

  • A more cohesive society by mixing participants of different backgrounds.
  • A more responsible society by supporting the transition into adulthood for young people.
  • A more engaged society by enabling young people to work together to create social action projects in their communities.

The key role of the co-ordinator is to lead the summer recruitment and retention of a pre-set number of young people, plan, organise and deliver the induction week, residential, multiple planning weeks and prepare the groundwork for a successful final week social action projects.

They will also assist the NCS Programme Manager with all aspects of the programme. The programme runs over three times a year.

The role will also include other responsibilities for suitable candidates, including assisting with recruitment for Community Trust programmes.

Casual Community Coach (Lead)

Up to 15 hours per week | Competitive rates of pay

 

We are currently recruiting a Casual Community Coach who is available on a casual basis during evenings and weekends on our Community Outreach Sports and Activity programme. There will also be opportunity for additional hours on our School Holiday Sports Camps.

 It is essential you hold at least one level 2 NGB Sports Coaching Qualification. You also must have experience of delivering Sports and Activities on Community programmes.

It is essential you are flexible to working unsociable hours.

Traineeship Programme Sessional Staff

Fleetwood Town Community Trust is an independent and registered charity working in partnership with Fleetwood Town Football Club. Our mission is to enrich the lives of children, young people and adults through sport, physical activity, health and educational programmes.

The Trust is seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to support, develop and deliver on their traineeship programme for 16-24 year olds.

As part of this role you will be expected to both lead and work alongside the Trust’s staff to ensure compliance with internal and external targets; prepare and deliver sessions on employability, functional and life skills; support trainees with additional needs; liaise with work placement providers and secure progression pathways.

With a good general level of education, you should be computer literate with excellent administration and communication skills. Teaching/ Youth Work/ IAG or equivalent are desirable. You must be able to work in a challenging environment with young people and adults with complex needs.

The post is for a twelve week programme, 14 hours a week, commencing on 23rd January 2018. Days required to work will be Monday and Friday 9am-5pm. The post will be based at Highbury Stadium, Fleetwood.
