JOB DESCRIPTION

Working Hours: 9am until 3:30pm Monday to Friday (term time only) 

Fleetwood Town Community Trust are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join the team as Bikeability Instructors.

As a Bikeability Instructor, successful candidates will be required to deliver fun, high quality, Bikeability National Standard Level 2 training to children in local schools, during school hours.

Successful candidates will also be required to administer course documentation and adhere to relevant policies and procedures and operational standards.

Candidates will ideally be frequent and confident cyclists, able to cope with traffic, and have a reasonable level of fitness. Candidates must also have the ability to communicate effectively, and have some previous experience or an interest in coaching.

Successful candidates must be qualified and hold a valid NSI number.

An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for this role. An up to date first aid certificate is also desirable along with a valid child protection certificate.

Traineeship Programme Sessional Staff

Fleetwood Town Community Trust is an independent and registered charity working in partnership with Fleetwood Town Football Club. Our mission is to enrich the lives of children, young people and adults through sport, physical activity, health and educational programmes.

The Trust is seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to support, develop and deliver on their traineeship programme for 16-24 year olds.

As part of this role you will be expected to both lead and work alongside the Trust’s staff to ensure compliance with internal and external targets; prepare and deliver sessions on employability, functional and life skills; support trainees with additional needs; liaise with work placement providers and secure progression pathways.

With a good general level of education, you should be computer literate with excellent administration and communication skills. Teaching/ Youth Work/ IAG or equivalent are desirable. You must be able to work in a challenging environment with young people and adults with complex needs.

The post is for a twelve week programme, 14 hours a week, commencing on 23rd January 2017. Days required to work will be Monday and Friday 9am-5pm. The post will be based at Highbury Stadium, Fleetwood.

 National Citizen Service Programme Leader and Assistant Leader (Casual Staff)

The National Citizen Service is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity open to all 15, 16 & 17 year olds and helps them build skills for work and life, whilst taking on new challenges and meeting new friends.

This is an excellent opportunity to be involved with an exciting programme which has tangible results for the young people involved. The roles are demanding and fast-paced but highly rewarding. These roles will require week-long residential commitments at a variety of times as Fleetwood Town FC Community Trust run around 5 NCS trips during the year.

The groups are composed of approximately 15 young people and the leader will be expected to work under the direction of the NCS Coordinator and assist with the pastoral care and support the development of the young people. Previous experience would be welcome but is not essential.
